Fucking love this game so much.

Surprisingly, the game runs smoother at highest settings with DirectX 11 than high settings with DirectX 9.

So the fabled DirectX 11 patch for Crysis 2 came out today, and it’s pretty spectacular. A new “Ultra” graphics setting is added with it. Every texture is higher-res, every minute detail pops out. Map editor and modding suite comes out on Wednesday as well. Finally, the Crytek we know and love is back, and Crysis 2 is now the PC trial-by-fire it was intended to be.

I now realize how much I need a new processor and new/additional graphics cards :(

This, ladies and gentlemen, is what the next-generation of games will look like.
